I am a scientist currently working on my PhD in the Coastal Ecogeomorphology Laboratory at the University of Washington, School of Oceanography, advised by Dr. Kendall Valentine. My bachelors is in Coastal Environmental Science and my masters is in Physical Geography & Geology, both from Louisiana State University.

My work focuses on coastal landscapes, with an emphasis on marshes. I often think about the following concepts and themes:

I blend field, laboratory, and numerical modeling techniques as I seek answers to my research questions. I enjoy the challenge of blending studies from spatial-perspectives with studies from temporal-perspectives. I likewise enjoy the challenge of implementing both theoretical and experimental methodologies into my work.

Interdisciplinary work is important to me, and the opportunity to merge my technical science with community needs, policy, and educational outreach excites me.
